Ingredients
- Raw almonds 15 g
- Apple 1 small (100g)
Method
-
Wash the apple.
Rinse the apple under cool running water to remove any dirt or residues. Use your hands to gently rub the surface while washing.
Tip: Use a fruit brush if you have one to clean the apple thoroughly. -
Slice the apple.
Place the apple on a clean cutting board. Using a sharp knife, cut the apple into thin slices. Start by cutting the apple in half, then into quarters, and finally slice each quarter into thin pieces. Remove the core and seeds from each slice.
Tip: Be careful with the knife and cut slowly if you are new to slicing fruit. -
Measure the almonds.
Using a kitchen scale, weigh out 15 grams of raw almonds. If you don’t have a scale, this is roughly about 12-15 whole almonds.
Tip: Keep the almonds raw and unsalted to keep the snack healthy. -
Serve and enjoy.
Arrange the apple slices on a plate and place the almonds alongside. Your healthy snack is ready to eat immediately.
Tip: You can enjoy this snack as is or pair it with a small amount of peanut butter for extra flavor.
Pro tips
- To prevent apple slices from browning, you can dip them briefly in a mixture of water and lemon juice.
