Ingredients
- Banana 1 medium
- Strawberries 1/2 cup
- Vanilla protein powder 1 serving
- Almond milk 1 cup
- Granola 1/4 cup
- Chia seeds 1 tbsp
Method
-
Prepare the fruit.
Peel the banana and wash the strawberries thoroughly. If your strawberries are large, cut them into halves or quarters to make blending easier.
Tip: Using ripe bananas will add natural sweetness to your smoothie bowl. -
Add ingredients to blender.
Place the banana, strawberries, vanilla protein powder, and almond milk into a blender. Make sure the blender jar is large enough to avoid spillage.
Tip: Add almond milk gradually if you prefer a thicker or thinner smoothie bowl consistency. -
Blend the smoothie.
Blend the mixture on high speed until smooth and creamy. Stop and scrape down the sides if needed to ensure all ingredients are well combined.
Tip: If the smoothie is too thick, add a little more almond milk and blend again. -
Pour into bowl.
Pour the smoothie mixture into a serving bowl. Use a spatula to scrape out all the smoothie from the blender.
Tip: Chill your bowl in the fridge beforehand for a refreshing experience. -
Add toppings.
Sprinkle the granola evenly over the top of the smoothie bowl, then add the chia seeds for a nutritious crunch and extra fiber.
Tip: You can add fresh fruit slices or nuts as additional toppings if desired.
Pro tips
- Use frozen strawberries to make the smoothie bowl cold and thick without needing ice.
- For extra creaminess, add half an avocado or a spoonful of Greek yogurt into the blender.
