Ingredients
- chia seeds 3 tbsp
- whey protein powder 1 scoop
- unsweetened almond milk 1 cup
- mixed berries (blueberries, raspberries) 1/2 cup
- vanilla extract 1/2 tsp
Method
-
Combine dry ingredients.
In a mixing bowl or jar, add 3 tablespoons of chia seeds and 1 scoop of whey protein powder. Stir gently to combine the dry ingredients evenly.
Tip: Mixing dry ingredients first helps prevent clumping when liquid is added. -
Add liquids.
Pour 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Stir well to ensure the protein powder is fully dissolved and the chia seeds are evenly distributed.
Tip: Use a whisk or fork to mix thoroughly and break up any lumps. -
Let pudding set.
Cover the bowl or jar with a lid or plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight. This resting time allows the chia seeds to absorb the liquid and thicken into a pudding-like texture.
Tip: For best texture, stir the mixture once after 30 minutes to prevent clumping. -
Add berries and serve.
Before serving, gently stir the pudding to ensure even consistency. Top with 1/2 cup of mixed berries (blueberries and raspberries). Enjoy chilled as a healthy breakfast or snack.
Tip: If using frozen berries, thaw them slightly for better texture and flavor.
Pro tips
- For creamier pudding, use a blender to mix the almond milk and protein powder before adding chia seeds.
- If you prefer sweeter pudding, add a small amount of natural sweetener like honey or maple syrup.
