Ingredients
- Whole wheat wrap 1 medium
- Grilled chicken breast 120 g
- Romaine lettuce 50 g
- Caesar dressing (light) 1 tbsp
- Parmesan cheese 10 g
Method
-
Prepare the chicken.
If your chicken breast is not cooked yet, season it lightly with salt and pepper. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and cook the chicken breast for about 5 minutes on each side until fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 75°C or 165°F). Let it rest for a few minutes, then slice into thin strips.
Tip: Use a meat thermometer to ensure the chicken is cooked through without drying out. -
Prepare the lettuce.
Wash the romaine lettuce thoroughly under cold running water. Pat dry with paper towels or use a salad spinner. Chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces.
Tip: Dry lettuce helps the wrap stay crisp and prevents sogginess. -
Mix the salad filling.
In a bowl, combine the chopped romaine lettuce, sliced grilled chicken, and the light Caesar dressing. Toss gently to coat everything evenly with the dressing.
Tip: Add the dressing gradually to avoid overdressing. -
Assemble the wrap.
Lay the whole wheat wrap flat on a clean surface. Place the salad mixture in the center of the wrap, then sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese on top.
Tip: Don’t overfill the wrap to make rolling easier. -
Roll the wrap.
Fold the sides of the wrap inward, then roll from the bottom up tightly to enclose the filling. Slice the wrap diagonally in half if desired.
Tip: Rolling tightly helps keep the filling inside and makes it easier to eat.
Pro tips
- Warm the wrap slightly in a pan or microwave for 10 seconds to make it more pliable and easier to roll.
- For extra flavor, add a few slices of ripe tomato or a sprinkle of black pepper.
