Ingredients
- cucumber 1 medium (300g)
- guacamole 1/4 cup (60g)
Method
-
Prepare the cucumber.
Wash the cucumber thoroughly under running water to remove any dirt. Using a sharp knife, cut off both ends of the cucumber. Then, slice the cucumber into thin, round slices about 1/4 inch thick. Try to keep the slices uniform for even presentation.
Tip: If you prefer, you can peel the cucumber before slicing for a milder taste. -
Arrange cucumber slices.
Place the cucumber slices evenly on a serving plate or tray. Spread them out so they don’t overlap too much, making it easy to add guacamole on top.
Tip: Chill the cucumber slices in the refrigerator for 5 minutes before serving for extra refreshment. -
Add guacamole.
Using a spoon, add a small dollop of guacamole on top of each cucumber slice. Alternatively, you can serve the guacamole in a small bowl on the side for dipping.
Tip: If you want to add some extra flavor, sprinkle a pinch of chili flakes or chopped cilantro on top of the guacamole.
Pro tips
- Use ripe avocados for the best guacamole flavor if making it yourself.
- Keep the guacamole covered with plastic wrap pressing directly on its surface to prevent browning if preparing in advance.
