Ingredients
- hummus 1/4 cup
- cucumber slices 1 cup
- bell pepper slices 1 cup
Method
-
Prepare the vegetables.
Wash the cucumber and bell pepper thoroughly under running water. Peel the cucumber if you prefer, then slice it into thin rounds about 1/4 inch thick. Core the bell pepper, remove seeds and membranes, then slice into strips about 1/4 inch wide.
Tip: Using a sharp knife helps create clean slices and reduces bruising the vegetables. -
Measure the hummus.
Scoop out 1/4 cup (approximately 60 grams) of hummus using a measuring cup or kitchen scale. Transfer it to a small serving bowl or plate.
Tip: If using store-bought hummus, stir it well before measuring to ensure even consistency. -
Arrange and serve.
Place the cucumber and bell pepper slices around the bowl or plate of hummus. Serve immediately as a fresh snack or appetizer.
Tip: For extra flavor, sprinkle a pinch of paprika or drizzle a little olive oil over the hummus before serving.
Pro tips
- Use fresh, firm vegetables for the best crunch and flavor.
- If you want to prepare ahead, slice the vegetables and keep them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
