Ingredients
- Pork tenderloin, roasted 6 oz
- Cauliflower, mashed 1.5 cups
- Green beans, steamed 1 cup
- Butter 1 tbsp
Method
-
Prepare the Pork Tenderloin.
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Season the pork tenderloin with salt and pepper or any preferred seasoning. Place it on a baking sheet or in an oven-safe pan. Roast for about 20-25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C). Remove from oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Tip: Resting the pork allows the juices to redistribute, making the meat juicy and tender. -
Steam the Green Beans.
While the pork is roasting, rinse the green beans and trim the ends. Place them in a steamer basket over boiling water. Cover and steam for about 5-7 minutes until tender but still crisp. Remove from heat and set aside.
Tip: Avoid overcooking the green beans to keep their bright color and crunch. -
Prepare the Mashed Cauliflower.
Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add the cauliflower florets and cook until very tender, about 10-12 minutes. Drain well. Transfer the cooked cauliflower to a blender or food processor. Add the butter and blend until smooth and creamy. If needed, add a splash of water or milk to reach your desired consistency. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Tip: Make sure to drain the cauliflower well to avoid watery mash. -
Plate and Serve.
Slice the rested pork tenderloin into medallions. Serve alongside a generous portion of mashed cauliflower and steamed green beans. Optionally, add a small pat of butter on the green beans for extra flavor.
Tip: Arrange the components neatly on the plate for an appealing presentation.
Pro tips
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure the pork is cooked perfectly without drying out.
- For extra flavor, you can add garlic or herbs like rosemary to the mashed cauliflower while blending.
