Ingredients
- Whey protein powder (vanilla) 1 scoop
- Fresh spinach 1 cup
- Strawberries 1/2 cup
- Unsweetened almond milk 1 cup
- Chia seeds 1 tbsp
- Banana 1/2 small
Method
-
Prepare the ingredients.
Wash the fresh spinach thoroughly under cold running water to remove any dirt. Hull the strawberries by removing the green leafy tops. Peel half of a small banana and cut it into smaller chunks to help with blending.
Tip: Using ripe banana and fresh strawberries will add natural sweetness to your smoothie bowl. -
Add ingredients to the blender.
Place the fresh spinach, hulled strawberries, banana chunks, and whey protein powder into the blender. Then pour in the unsweetened almond milk. Finally, add the chia seeds on top.
Tip: Add the liquids last to help the blender blades move smoothly. -
Blend until smooth.
Secure the lid on the blender. Blend all ingredients on high speed for about 30 to 60 seconds or until the mixture is smooth and creamy with no large chunks.
Tip: If the mixture is too thick, add a little more almond milk, one tablespoon at a time, and blend again until desired consistency is reached. -
Serve your smoothie bowl.
Pour the smoothie into a bowl. You can add your favorite toppings such as fresh fruit slices, nuts, or granola for extra texture and flavor.
Tip: For an attractive presentation, arrange toppings neatly on the surface of the smoothie bowl.
Pro tips
- Use frozen strawberries or banana chunks for a thicker and colder smoothie bowl.
- Soak chia seeds in almond milk for 10 minutes before blending to make them softer and easier to digest.
